A
Brief History
Built in 1898 by the San Francisco Yacht Club, Horizons offers
one of the most spectacular restaurant water views on the West
Coast. Back in the early 1900s, the yacht club was the center
for gala parties, yacht races and regattas until the location
was abandoned in 1927. It was not until 1959 that the building
was purchased by a local Sausalito family who leased the space
out to what were to become two internationally acclaimed restaurants
- Ondine and Trident.
Cuisine
California Cuisine. Menu includes traditional fare such as
sandwiches, pastas and salads as well as specialty items such
as lobster tail, filet mignon and New York steak. Housemade desserts.
Beverages
Full bar. Draft beers. Specialty drinks. Extensive California
wine list.
Design/Décor
Wood paneled walls and portholes resembles an old yacht; ceiling
mural original to the Trident. Outside deck boasts views of the
Bay Area, including the skyline of San Francisco, Angel Island and
Alcatraz.
